One of the newly discovered outdoor activities located within the western part of Misamis Oriental is the Tula-Lake Danao Mountain Trail Hike. It is a two (2) to four (4) hours hike from Barangay Tula that will traverse the Mt. Salumayagon range.

Lake Danao a 4 hectare lake approximately 30 kms. Southwest from the town proper, located atop mount Salumayagon, filled with natural and scenic attractions (elevation 868 meters above sea level). It is within the 1000-hectare forested area of barangay Tula considered to be the last frontier of west Misamis Oriental.
