Liyang Beach is the closest launch point to Agutayan White Sand & Coral Reef. Two motorized boats, the Lumba Lumba 1 and 2, are prepared to transport up to 12 guests each from Liyang Beach to Agutayan in just 15 minutes, one way.

Round-trip with free life jackets and unlimited time:

Additionally, picnic sheds and overnight cottages are available for rent at Liyang Beach.

Liyang Rock, located on the western boundary of Liyang Beach, is a prominent block of limestone formation at the edge of the sea. Its elevated flat top measuring around 1/4 hectare, commands a spectacular view of Macajalar Bay, including Agutayan from a distance.The base of Liyang Rock provides a dramatic stage and backdrop for entertainment at Liyang Beach.

Agutayan Reef

A 3-hectare marine sanctuary that serves as breeding ground of endangered giant clams. The giant clams are products of successful seeding project supported by the local government.
With its shallow water and amazing marine life, the place is ideal for swimming, diving and snorkeling. (Source)


Scuba Diving at Agutayan Reef

You might, wanna contact a dive service, like Scuba de Oro, before going there.

Agutayan Island is a marine sanctuary near the coast of Jasaan. It is accessible through a number of ways, but the quickest and the easiest access is through Liyang Beach, a few meters away from Jasaan proper. They have rentable boats for groups which you can hire for around P1,000. Like Camiguin White Island, Agutayan is devoid of trees or plants, and only a cottage for the sanctuary outpost stands on its side. It is advisable that you visit early in the morning to avoid the harsh heat of the sun. (Source – more pic)

Church of the Immaculate Conception

The original facade of the church has been modified after a series of renovations.

The church has two bell towers containing 4 bells in totality. The oldest of the four bells is dated 1807 while the largest is cast “Nuestra Señora de la Inmaculada Concepcion de Jasaan Año 1854.” The old church bells of the Immaculate Conception Church of Jasaan (four of them, excluding the one that was transferred to San Agustin Cathedral at Cagayan de Oro) bore these inscriptions around its outer rim: “Para El Pueblo de Jasaan 1860“.

The Immaculate Conception Church is a Baroque church located in Poblacion, Upper Jasaan in Misamis Oriental, Philippines. It was declared by the National Museum as a National Cultural Treasure in Northern Mindanao due to its artistic design and cultural values.

Several caves are mentioned, to be located in San Antonio

Magallanes Cave

An unexplored cave that has quite large opening. At the entrance, stone formations went down the floor as a result to the earthquake that happened before. There’s a path that leads to the other chambers of the cave and people say that this cave has a chamber that leads right into the ocean. (Source)

Villabongga Cave

This cave, located at San Antonio is also a tourist attraction for its depth and compromising channels, ideal for spelunking.
