“For those who seek that ‘break from the hustle and bustle’, total tranquility can be surely achieved in this resort. With Buddhist antiques and statuettes visibly displayed, zen vibes are really felt either you’re just lounging in their open spaces or taking a dip in their pools.
The resort also has the makings of a highly rated resort as they have their own large pool, private villas, a function hall, a bar and karaoke. The exclusive resort is also designed with beautiful antique gardens, contributing more to its overall tranquil atmosphere.” (Source)

The resort is located at the mouth of the Alubijid River on a large sandbar. The owner has built a long bridge of bamboo for guests to cross the river. There is only one hut available for overnight stays, but several cottages right on the waterfront for day guests. A simple toilet is available and cold drinks, snacks and refreshments can be bought in a small shop. A place to barbecue food you have brought with you is also available. A small settlement of fishing families is in the neighbourhood. The place is a nice hideaway, secluded by the sea. [Source]

A balsa or floating cottage can accommodate up to 30 persons. Most balsa is equipped with tables and benches, a cooking/grilling area, a changing area, and a mini pool. Obviously, there is no restroom on board, so …
All guests will be given life vests, and if you’re wondering about the food & drinks corkages, there is none.
All guests will be responsible for keeping their trash. Transparent trash bags will be given upon entry at the port, with some asking for a garbage deposit around PHP150. To claim back the deposit, guests have to bring the trash bag back to the port for proper disposal.
Rent fees range from PHP2,000 to PHP3,500, depending on the size and the owner of the balsa, as well as the available time slot.
Rent a stand-up paddleboard for PHP200 per hour, or kayak for PHP250 per hour.
Book ahead. Walk-ins are highly discouraged. [Source]
Note that operators usually require reservation fee (range from P1,000-P1,500), environmental fee (P15) and entrance fee (P10). The balsa rates range from P2,200 to P4,500 depending on size and this includes boat ride to the cottage and back to the shore. Rates are usually higher on weekends.
DOCKING AREA – see below boat docking / loading area for balsa operators
PARKING AREA – balsa operators have their own designated parking areas. Vehicles can drop off guests and their things at the docking area then proceed to the parking area.

Beautiful ridges characterize this mineral-rich mountain in Gitagum, Misamis Oriental. There are plenty of trails in Mt. Anggas, all overlooking the mighty mountains of Mindanao, including Kitanglad, D2, and more. The best one for kids would be the trail that takes hikers from a beautiful campsite called “Nyor’s Playground”, to a two-hour hike to Abaga Falls. Day hikes and overnight camping are offered by Nyor’s Mountaineering Group.
[Source: J. Acut]
How to get there: Make your way to Laguindingan Market. From there, commission a habal-habal to Sitio Sikiton. Hire a guide at the barangay hall.
If you want a more hassle-free hike, book it with Nyor’s. After arriving in Laguindingan AIrport in Misamis Oriental, you simply take a van to the integrated bus terminal. Nyor’s will pick you up and drop you off at the terminal. A day hike with Nyor’s is only P600 inclusive of guideship, transpo to and from the mountain, and side trip to Abaga Falls. [Source: cdodev]
